WASHINGTON STATE (SEATTLE) FERRY SYSTEM Design and implementation of masters and senior officers leadership program during a periods of conflict and legal activity regarding discrimination. BRITISH COLUMBIA MINISTRY OF HIGHWAY FERRY SYSTEM Undertook a manpower and safety needs review of all short passage vehicular operated by the Ministry of Transportation. This was in preparation for a merger into the BC Ferry Corporation. GULF BEAUDRILL SHIPPING Design and implementation of a unique experiential team development training program for oil-rig protection ship masters operating in the Beaufort Sea. This involved working closely with Outward Bound in a very demanding cold weather river expedition in Western Canada. The project goal was to increase the masters' awareness of their egocentric and authoritarian behaviour which affected safety. The outcome was a more risk aware group reconstructed as a team. PACIFIC MARINE TRAINING INSTITUTE Instituted, against fierce resistance, an evaluation system for assessing faculty performance benchmarked against other institutions; advised management and senior staff on change management; coached various members of senior staff; managed conflicts arising from the change program. |
